Why did you first get involved at the LFIA?
It is time for a paradigm shift full of hope, beauty and possibility that is actually grounded in reality.
The LFIA offers all this and more.
It is a values led road map to co-create a future that I want to be a part of – one that is connected and compassionate for all.
What are your hopes for our industry?
That we continue to show leadership and courage to take on more and more challenge and creativity.
There are no excuses for not creating net positive energy and water buildings that are beautiful. We know how to do this today and need to commit to it for our tomorrow.
Tell us three things most people don’t know about you (where at least two of them should be true!)
My kids, nieces and nephews think the coolest thing about me is I had a small role in the Matrix – my smallest role ever and no words, but they still think this is my best claim to fame.
I wish I had been a little like Audrey Hepburn or at least met her-a hero of mine who was funny, beautiful and committed to making the world a better place.
My fantasy is to grow up to be an eccentric mad cat lady- I’m well on the way!
What’s your favourite childhood memory?
Walking and playing along the beach and wild ocean in South Australia near my grandfathers beach house.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Absolutely no idea which is unusual for me. I usually have it mapped out and then something else comes along anyway that I feel I need to follow.
As long as I am following my heart, creating, connecting and contributing to make a difference, I will be happy.
You’re happiest when?
I’m watching the sunset on our farm with nothing but trees and hills as far as the eye can see.
Do you have a favourite quote? Or a motto or personal mantra?
A life lived in fear is a life half lived.
A famous quote shared with me by an elderly woman bound in a wheelchair, from when I used to help her in my early career as a nurse.
I was only 18 and it made quite an impression.
Personal mantra
My grandfather-on his deathbed, said to me, whatever you do in the world, do whatever you can to create peace.
A big legacy and responsibility that stays with me everyday.
