It’s hard to believe it’s already April (and that it’s almost over!). A lot has happened in the last few months, so we thought an update would be appropriate.
First and foremost, we want to say thank you to our retiring board members. Lance Jeffrey, Dominique Hes, and Jeffrey Robinson – you were there at the creation of this organization. Thank you for your dedication to getting mission off the ground in Australia over the past three years, and to all that you have helped accomplish. To Digby Hall and Caitlin McGee – thank you for your support of LFIA from the early days and for being a part of our team last year. To Juliana Abram, thanks for helping to kick off this year with your participation in our strategy workshop for 2015; we wish you the best this year and look forward to welcoming you back in September. To all of you, thank you for the investment you have made of yourselves to build this community of practice, working together towards a socially-just, culturally-rich and ecologically restorative future. We’re looking forward to working with you over the years to come.
We also want to want to let you know that the 2015 board has now completed its officer elections and this is how we will run:
Mary Casey, Chair
Stephen Choi, Vice-Chair
Brian Coughlin, Secretary
Kate Ramchurn, Treasurer
Caroline Pidcock, Board Member
Ricki Hersberg, Board Member
Juliana Abram, Board Member
Amanda Sturgeon, ILFI Board Representative
Jason McLennan, ILFI Board Representative
You’ll be hearing from us again soon with updates on specific initiatives from the Board. We’ll be looking for your help in making them happen, so watch this space.
