Living Future Accreditation (LFA) is a professional credential, created by Living Future (previously ILFI), that recognises proficiency in the world’s most ambitious, regenerative and holistic design standards such as the Living Building Challenge. With a Living Future Accreditation, you have an opportunity to deepen your knowledge and expertise at the leading edge of regenerative design and Living Future programs.

Format + Inclusions
The blended LFA program includes:

- 20 hours of self-directed learning using online modules.
- 15 hours of live workshops to explore turning theory into practice through case studies and guest speakers. Hear from local project teams, key stakeholders, and members of our Technical Working Group as we explore how to apply the Living Future Programs to the Australian and New Zealand context.
- 5 learning circles to explore ideas further in smaller groups and build a community of practice.
- 1 Digital copy of Creating Biophilic Buildings by Amanda Sturgeon.
Why this format?
The purpose of this blended LFA program is to make the most of online content, whilst creating qualified LFA professionals grounded in the local context, and who can operate as a cohort of connected people, supporting each other as they take on projects into the future.

Completion of this course will result in achievement of the Living Future Accreditation. A certificate of course outcomes and attendance will also be provided to meet various CPD requirements.
Key Information
Course Dates: The course runs from 27 May to 12 September 2025. The course runs for 16 weeks.
Learning Modes: Self-directed, online workshops, online learning circles (approx. 60 hours of content).
Timeframe for Completion: The Zoom workshops and Learning Circles must be attended / completed with the 16-week course program. There is an unlimited timeframe for completing the Online Modules (i.e. you may complete them after the 16-week program finishes if required). You will be awarded your Living Future Accreditation once you have completed all components and modules.
Required Knowledge: A basic level of knowledge in sustainable, green or regenerative design standards and principles, for example Living Building Challenge, Passivhaus, WELL, or Green Star. You may also benefit from reading the LBC Program Manual before you start the course (for a brief overview, click “get the basics” or for more detailed information click “access the program manual”).
Course Cost: AUD $3,400.00 + GST
Payment Options: Credit card or invoice. If the upfront cost is a barrier, part payments are available in two, three or four instalments (at no extra cost) by selecting invoice and indicating this in your enrolment form.
