Call for Director Nominations

By September 14, 2015Uncategorized

Hello, Everyone,

Since the inception of the LFIA in 2012, we have had steady and growing support from a community of practice committed to creating a world which is socially just, culturally rich, and ecologically restorative.

We have established a strong team with our current Board, and we have big plans for the remainder of this year and over the next 5 years. In the last 12 months we have been: developing our systems; fostering partnerships with other organisations; planning and delivering leadership events, networking and training; and building our project team support capability – all aimed at enabling our community of practice to make a visible difference, demonstrating ‘what good looks like’ in our Australian context.

To keep that momentum going and take our organisation to the next level, we are starting the search today for additional Board members to deliver on these plans. In accordance with the Company Constitution, we are excited to invite Members to nominate individuals for stand for Director positions on the Board of the LFIA.

We want a few more team players looking to make a valuable, high-energy contribution and create positive, disruptive change. The role is for 12-24 months, and will require a minimum of a couple of hours a week. This is not a gig for just talkers – if you are a walker and a talker, then you’re what we’re after.

If you’re interested, or you think you know someone who answers to the above description, we would love to hear from you. The application form, along with some of the finer details of the role and our expectations of you if you put your hand up for it, can be found by clicking here: LFIA call for Directors 2015 Nomination Form

We see a world which works through spontaneous cooperation, without ecological offence or the disadvantage of anyone, but as Seth Godin says: ‘We don’t know what you see…we need your contribution, your vision, your truth…not the truth, but the truth of the world as you see it and as you wish it to be.’

Can’t wait to hear from you.

Best,

Mary
